Backyard Basketball Court
Basketball court markings look cheesy on a driveway and will wear off and be a hassle to re-paint…unless they are cut into the concrete and acid stained. These lines will be here in 20 years even without any maintenance (though the sealer can be easily maintained). Plus, the earthy browns outdoors are timelessly elegant.
We drew perfect arcs at the 3-point line with giant compass. Our expert artisans sketch the lines in pencil after dropping a chalk line to mark off the key. We saw cut the lines then hand paint the stain between them. A coat of Kemiko stain in “Walnut” was sprayed all over, allowed to cure, neutralized, allowed to dry, and then sealed. This process is more work than paint-like products but acid staining is the most durable and natural-looking way to stain concrete.
This sweet family is looking forward to time with their kiddos and friends on the court. A friendly game of H-O-R-S-E anyone?
